At Udayachal, festivals are not just celebrated—they are experienced with heart, culture, and togetherness. Rongali Bihu, the vibrant festival marking the Assamese New Year, brought an atmosphere of joy, color, and tradition across our campus.

Rongali Bihu celebration 2026

The celebration began with a warm welcome, embracing the spirit of new beginnings and gratitude. Students, dressed gracefully in traditional attire, especially the elegant Mekhala Sador, reflected the rich heritage of Assam. The rhythmic beats of the dhol and the melodious tunes of Bihu songs filled the air, creating an environment full of energy and happiness.
Our students enthusiastically participated in cultural performances, with a special highlight being the lively Bihu dance, showcasing their talent, confidence, and deep connection to tradition. The performances were followed by a beautiful group dance, symbolizing unity and collective celebration.
What made the day even more special was the active participation of our teachers, who joined the students in celebration, making it a truly inclusive and joyful experience. The entire campus echoed with laughter, music, and the essence of Assamese culture.
At Udayachal, such celebrations play an important role in nurturing cultural awareness, building confidence, and strengthening the bond between students and educators. Rongali Bihu was not just a festival—it was a celebration of identity, joy, and togetherness.
