SUMMARY:On the occasion of World Hearing Day
DESCRIPTION:March 3\, 2021:-we organized a free evaluation and\nhealth assessment camp for all regular OSD and EIU students from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm at the\nauditorium hall. Doctors from the following department were present: Department of\nOrthopedics\, Department of Neurology\, Department of Ophthalmology\, Department of\nPaediatrics\, Department of Psychology\, Department of PMRT\, and Department of Audiology.\nThe camp was a very successful event because during the COVID situation it was very\nchallenging for the parents to take their children to hospitals for health evaluation. We thank\nGauhati Medical College and Hospital and specially the Superintendent Dr. Abhijit Sarmah for\ncooperating and assisting us in the entire process and we are also thankful to the doctors of each\nand every department who were present today. The aim of the camp was to inculcate the\nawareness for better health and well being among them. It is also to provide free consultancy in\norder to enable them to pursue further treatment. The parents are very thankful to the organizing\ncommittee and also the management of Udayachal for bringing high class medical facilities to\ntheir doorstep at free of cost. Additionally\, they mentioned such camps give them better\nopportunity to present child’s medical problems and build health rapport with doctors.
